Marie seems well... for now. But Ryuzaki... Well, things will be all right, I'm sure. At least, at Old Home they will be.

If anyone is in need of some shelter, or even food, they can come here. The well water from out back seems to be in good order, and I make sure I boil everything these days before using it for cooking or drinking, anyways.

Just... come on by if you need help. It won't cost you anything, so please don't worry about that.

Old Home has been quiet lately; it seems that less children happen by as the days go on. I wonder if they're looking after themselves, or if... something else has happened to them.

That's such a pessimistic thought, though. I'm sure they're all right, but just in case any of them are reading this... my door's always open. That's why this orphanage is here.

In other news, not that it travels very quickly into these parts... I was in town shopping the other day and I heard a rumor about a Pet Auction being held in Mistral very soon. I find those events disturbing... If Nemu were around, I would ask her to go protest with me, but it appears I'll have to go on my own.

Somebody has to... It might not make that big of a difference, but it's better than doing nothing and letting Jupiter and her followers think that we'll stand idly by or ignore this disgusting behavior.

Honestly... treating people like animals, and like furniture... it's terrible. That practice should be outlawed, not condoned... Sigh.
